My name is Kristofer Coffman. By profession, I’m a Lutheran pastor-in-training and a student of several diverse disciplines. Discipline-wise, I’ve bounced around. My undergraduate thesis tracked the liturgical history of Norwegian-American Lutherans. My Masters thesis laid out the challenges of translating the New Testament into Khmer. If all goes according to plan, I’ll write my Doctoral thesis on the parables. That aside, I’m an amateur philologist with an emphasis on Norwegian and Koine Greek, a devotee of the art of dry-fly fishing, and a card-carrying member of the fraternity of Martin Luther. This blog is an outlet for the extra steam of my profession and my academic energies, a home for my translation projects, and, hopefully, a resource for anyone looking to learn a little more about the unruly discipline of Law/Gospel preaching.
